Speakers for the Forum on October 8th 2013
We are delighted that Dr Corinna Midgley MB, BS, MRCGP, FRCP will be discussing her work as Clinical Lead for St. Frances Hospice.
Dr Midgley trained to be a doctor at University College and then as a GP within the London based vocational (GP) training programme. She worked as a GP for several years and retains a real passion for caring for people with complex needs. She has also been proud to develop the Consultant and Associate Specialist team to meet the increasing number of patients supported both in the hospice and at home.
In addition the Chairman, Cliff Reynolds, will be speaking about the Caring Neighbour Awards and Councillor Pam Light will be speaking about Silver Sunday.
Opening Up To Archaeology-Unearthing Havering Museum Project 7/28 November
The Museum of London and Havering Museum are running a collaborative project planned for November/December 2013.
The “Opening Up To Archaeology-Unearthing Havering Project” project aims to encourage members of the community to take part in interactive workshops, engaging with archaeology excavated from the Borough of Havering and fostering involvement with the local community and its heritage.
The sessions are free.

Havering Community Questions event, Monday, September 9, from 7-9pm at the Town Hall in Romford.
Speakers for Forum on Tuesday 10 September
1. Helen Mundy – A retired headteacher and former Ofsted inspector,who wrote and delivered a training programme for Reading Buddies at Havering’s libraries.
These are adult volunteers who help children improve their reading skills.
2. Councillor Andrew Curtin – Cabinet Member for Culture, Towns &Communities will be speaking about culture and leisure activities planned for the Autumn.
Also discounted price tickets for MUSIC HALL at the Queens theatre ,16th Jan:2014.
