The British Invasion comes to Brookside Theatre – Saturday 17 March
Few tribute bands can genuinely claim to have a rock star in its ranks. But the British Invasion Show – celebrating hits from the sixties – has just that in front man, Johnny Warman. The show is coming to Brookside Theatre, Romford, on Saturday 17 March.
Johnny was signed to Ringo Starr’s record label, and had a string of hits in the 1970s and 1980s, including ‘Screaming Jets’, which featured Peter Gabriel.
“The British Invasion Show celebrates the years 1964 to 1966 when British bands invaded the US charts,” said Johnny, who has also worked with Elton John. “We perform all the classics by bands like The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, The Who, The Kinks, The Pretty Things, Dave Clarke 5, The Moody Blues and early Pink Floyd. The audience gets a two-hour show, and we pack in as much as we can. We make sure people get their money’s worth.”
The British Invasion Show is performed by Johnny Warman’s Magic Bus. Between them, the band has worked with acts including Elton John, David Bowie, XTC, Ringo Starr, Peter Gabriel, Asia, Julian Lennon, ABC, Cheap Trick, Bruce Springsteen and Foo Fighters.
The British Invasion Show at Brookside Theatre starts at 8pm on Saturday 17 March. For tickets, (£19), visit www.brooksidetheatre.com
Change in wheelchair service provider in Barking and Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge
Sent on behalf of Sharon Morrow, Senior Responsible Officer, Unplanned Care, Barking and Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge Clinical Commissioning Groups
We are writing to inform you that from 1 April 2018 a new wheelchair service will be provided across Barking and Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge (BHR). This new service will be run by AJM Healthcare, a specialist provider of mobility equipment.
Why is this happening?
Current contracts to provide wheelchair services in BHR are due to expire at the end of March 2018. After a comprehensive procurement exercise, BHR Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) appointed AJM Healthcare to provide a new wheelchair service across the three boroughs.
AJM Healthcare will provide a full service that includes clinical assessment, clinical support and wheelchair equipment. NELFT, Provide Wheelchair Service and DGT Services Ltd will no longer provide wheelchair services in Barking and Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge.
New services will improve patient experience as they will have the same provider for all elements of their wheelchair services, and this combined service ensures that the local NHS provides the best value for money.
Continuity of care
Our priority is to ensure that patients continue to receive an uninterrupted wheelchair service. BHR CCGs and AJM Healthcare are working closely with the existing providers to ensure a smooth transition to the new service.
All existing users of wheelchair services will be automatically transferred to AJM Healthcare from 1 April.
All users are being informed of the changes and how they can contact AJM Healthcare.
Together with AJM Healthcare, we are working with clinicians and local councils to ensure that all GPs, social care workers and hospices are informed of the new service and the new referral process.
If you have any questions or queries about the new wheelchair service, please contact AJM Healthcare on 0808 169 1040.
Yours sincerely
Sharon Morrow, Senior Responsible Officer, Unplanned Care, BHR CCGs
Havering Healthwatch – Urgent and Emergency Care consultation
180226 Community urgent care questions Font 14 v0 5
As foreshadowed by Anne-Marie at your meeting the other week, we have now started the consultation exercise about people’s understanding of urgent and emergency care.
I attach the questionnaire.
It would be really helpful if you could forward this email to your many contacts from the HOFF and if they, in turn, could pass the questionnaire on to their own contacts.
The questionnaire can be completed online and returned to me by email, or they can print and complete it and pop it in the post to me at the address below.
Alternatively, completed questionnaires can be brought to the next HOFF meeting and our rep there will collect them.
Kind regards
