Avoid Bank Scams. Need to call your bank? Many can now dial 159 for safety

Consumers wanting to avoid financial fraud now have a secure and easy-to-remember phone number to contact their banks on in order to avoid painful scams. It could prove to be the safest way for many to contact their provider if they have suspicions and concerns about their accounts, or even if they’re struggling to find a customer services number.

We want your views around how you use your local pharmacies’ 

Healthy Dialogues have been commissioned to conduct a large-scale survey within Havering to ascertain your views around how you use your local pharmacy. The survey will form part of the Pharmaceutical Needs Assessments (PNA), a statutory requirement by the Health & Wellbeing Boards, to determine new contracts for pharmacies within your area, and how local pharmacies are currently being used.

Your say matters as the responses will help to shape the health and wellbeing needs of your area.

Christmas Concert at Queen’s Theatre, Hornchurch, 11am – 1pm, Monday 13 December 2021

Join us for Christmas at Queen’s Theatre

We are delighted to announce the return of our annual charity Christmas concert at Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch.

We will be joined by Paul Rhodes and the talented Dawn Chorus who will be performing a range of classic Christmas songs to bring in the festive cheer. We will also be hosting a charity raffle which will include some fabulous prizes sourced from local businesses.

Refreshments will be available afterwards courtesy of Pinney Talfourd.

This charity event is in aid of the Queen’s Theatre charitable trust and Pinney Talfourd’s own charity of the year, Havering Association for People with Disabilities (H.A.D).

Tickets are available from Queen’s Theatre box office for a small donation. Donations can also be made on the day.

We will be working closely with Queen’s Theatre to ensure that this event will be fully compliant with the most up-to-date government guidelines surrounding Covid-19 to ensure that all guests can enjoy themselves safely. The venue will be at 75% capacity for this event to allow additional space for attendees.

Free Wreath making and Christmas fair in Langtons Gardens

Next week Tuesday 2nd November: Langtons ‘Down to Earth’ day

  • Free autumn wreath making, walks and talks in honour of Climate change week:    Come along and make an autumnal wreath from natural materials. Join our led walk around the Gardens and understand the bio-diversity and ecology of the land. Finish with refreshments and talks on small steps to look after our environment.
  • 11am–1.30pm in the greenhouse, no booking required.
