MOPAC currently has vacancies for Independent Custody Visitors (ICVs) in Havering borough.  I wondered if you could please pass on the below information on the ICV scheme to SNB board members and other local groups and/ or include in any newsletters you produce?  Independent Custody Visitors

 Make unannounced visits to local police stations to check on the treatment of people detained by the police.  They observe and report on conditions in police cells.  This is a voluntary role but full training will be given and expenses paid.
