Havering Citizens Advice Bureau 75th Birthday and Open Day – 13 August

Celebrating 75 years of helping more people in a changing world

This year the national Citizens Advice service celebrates its 75th birthday and as we were one of the original bureau, opened in September 1939, we are having an Open Day to celebrate our 75th Anniversary and would like you to join us. The event will be held on Wednesday 13th August at the bureau (9 Victoria Road, Romford) between 2 and 4pm. You are welcome to call in at any time to meet trustees, staff, volunteers and discuss the work of HCAB.

In the last year Havering Citizens Advice Bureau (HCAB) supported over 7,500 people in Havering, who raised 13,200 issues ranging from the impact of welfare reform, to employment, debt and domestic abuse. I attach a copy of our latest impact report, which provides a brief overview of the service in the last financial year. I am sure you will be impressed by the achievements of our staff and volunteers. We have a rich understanding of the problems affecting local people and I hope that we will be able to continue to work to solve these problems.
