Dear all, I talked last year about setting up a forum cycling club. Well summer seems to be here now so I thought I’d go for a ride next Wednesday morning.

I intend to start from Upminster Library and cycle down Ingrebourne valley and Hornchurch country park to Rainham and return.

I will stop for lunch at the Albion – Flaming grill Pub on Rainham Road before cycling back.

The route is off-road except for a very short stretch from the Park to Upminster Stadium and very flat. It is about 4 miles each way.

If people feel like it we can cycle onto RSPB Rainham which will make it about 10 miles each way, perhaps a bit far for our first ride. We can discuss if anyone wants different kinds of rides etc.

Lunch at the Albion will give people time to talk about cycling and whether we want to have more rides.
